GrainCorp Foods undertook a major upgrade and expansion of their West Footscray site in 2012-2015 to deliver a world-class food processing plant with additional capacity including retail spreads, bakery fats and shortenings. This project involved demolition of large parts of an existing single level plant and warehousing area of the site and construction of a new two level process area along with extended warehousing areas. Significant works where carried out to integate the new works, services and processes into the remaining structure and processes surrounding the project. The project also included the upgrade of the surrounding retained areas of the plant to comply with current standards and regulations.
Fergusson Plarre Bakery
Located in Keilor Park, Victoria, this production facility includes the head office for Ferguson Plarre Bakeries, supplying product to over 40 franchise operations throughout Melbourne. DNM scope included the structural and civil engineering design and documentation. The facility was constructed by Vaughan Constructions
Gruma Asia & Oceania Bakery
Located on a 3.6 ha site at the Northpoint Industrial Estate, Epping, Victoria, this production facility includes the head office for the Gruma Corporation in Australia. The facility manufactures corn flour, corn tortillas and related food products and is the first manufacturing plant to be built in Australia by the Mexican-based Gruma Corporation. DNM scope included structural and civil engineering design and documentation. The facility was constructed by Vaughan Constructions.
