Linfox Workshops – Laverton, Victoria and Erskine Park, Sydney

Melbourne Market Redevelopment

MMRP-01-Aerial-Photo1DNM provided the civil engineering documentation for Lend Lease on this major state-owned infrastructure project. DNM also provided the structural engineering certification.

The Melbourne Wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market incorporating the National Flower Centre is an important part of the state’s economic infrastructure, with an annual turnover in excess of $1.6 billion. The market is being relocated from its currant site in Footscray Road to a new site in Epping. The intention is to establish the new market within a modern, innovative and efficient fresh produce trading and distribution precinct. This is one of the largest infrastructure projects undertaken in Victoria in recent years with a value in excess of $400 million.

 

 


Woolworths Melbourne Liquor Distribution Centre

woolworths-liquor-distribution-facilityConstructed on a 20 ha site in Laverton Victoria this project includes approximately 70,000 m² distribution facilities and approximately 80,000 m² of external hard stand and car park pavement. The facility was constructed by Vaughan Constructions and completed in 2007 and operates 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

DNM scope included the design, documentation and observation of construction for all civil works including earthworks, hardstand pavements and stormwater drainage.

 

 


K&S Freighters Victorian Transport Depot

K-S-TruganinaThis project has been constructed on a 23 ha site in Laverton and is the major Victorian transport depot for the K&S Freighters Corporation. The facility includes over 40,000 m² of warehouse, cross-dock, maintenance and administration building space and approximately 60,000 m² of external hardstand pavement including over 30,000 m² of container storage area. Stage 1 of the facility was completed in 2005 and Stage 2 in 2008.

DNM scope included the design, documentation and observation of construction for all civil and structural works including earthworks, hardstand pavements and stormwater. The facility was constructed by Vaughan Constructions.
